Although the information in this chapter remains timely and useful, in recent years it's become more evident that state education departments as well as local school districts are proactively promoting the Internet’s instructional benefits while protecting students from its risks. Legislation has been passed requiring school districts to develop and enforce acceptable policies and guidelines for both teachers and students as well as installing filtering software to avoid acces to harmful material. Herein are examples of information that can be included in the next edition of this textbook.

Suggestions: Macromedia products were purchased by adobe - the Adobe version of Director can be found here: http://www.adobe.com/products/director/

HyperStudio can be found here: http://www.mackiev.com/hyperstudio/index.html
    Update #6: Authorware (Macromedia)
Location: pg 200, last two lines of text
Suggestions: Since purchasing all software from Macromedia, Adobe plans to discontinue Authorware: From
the Albuquerque airportsite: "Adobe plans to discontinue development of Authorware, the visual authoring tool for creating rich-media e-learning applications for delivery on corporate networks, CD/DVD, and the Web"
I suggest removing the reference to Authorware altogether, or making mention that it is now owned by Adobe and they plan to discontinue its production
    Update #7: Mathmatica
Location: pg 204, very bottom of page
Suggestions: While Wolfram still owns the rights to Mathematica, the website URL has changed. I suggest updating the link to either http://www.wolfram.com/products/mathematica/index.html or the more general www.wolfram.com
    Update #8: Maple (Waterloo Maple)
Location: pg 205, very top of page
Suggestions: The home page of www.maplesoft.com can be a little off-putting; it almost appears to be a business site, not a site for academic purposes - software or other wise. I would include a more specific URL that loinks directly to a page that is related to "Maple"
    the URL is: http://www.maplesoft.com/products/Maple/
